MOQ: 1 containerCocoa Potash
Traditional pod-husk ash for soap, soil and heritage foods.
Cocoa potash is the ash of dried cocoa pod husks — a traditional alkaline ingredient used in West African soft soap (alata samina / ose dudu), as a soil amendment, and in heritage dishes where it tenderises and seasons.
Supplied dried, sieved and bagged in container quantities for soap makers, agro-input blenders and food distributors.
Background & commercial significance
Long before industrial lye, pod-husk ash was the alkali of West African soap and cooking — every harvest’s empty husks became next season’s soap and fertiliser. Industrial and organic buyers now source it as a natural, traceable alkaline input.
General commodity information below is educational. HB33 lot-specific details are confirmed per inquiry.
Common uses & applications
- Organic soap making — Alkali base for traditional soft and black soaps.
- Fertiliser & soil — Potassium-rich ash for organic soil programmes.
- Heritage foods — Tenderiser and seasoning in traditional dishes, food-grade lots only.
