Background & commercial significance

Soy (Glycine max) was domesticated in East Asia thousands of years ago and became a global commodity in the 20th century: roughly four-fifths of every bean goes to animal feed as meal after crushing, with the oil serving food, biodiesel and industry — making dependable bulk supply critical for crushers everywhere.

General commodity information below is educational. HB33 lot-specific details are confirmed per inquiry.

Common uses & applications

  • Oil crushing — Refined oil for food, frying and industrial applications.
  • Protein meal — High-protein meal for poultry, aqua and livestock feed.
  • Food manufacturing — Tofu, soymilk, textured protein and flour streams.
  • Full-fat feed — Extruded full-fat beans for energy-dense rations.

Quality, handling & storage

Soybeans must ship dry and stay ventilated: heat plus moisture causes heating, mould and free-fatty-acid rise. Containers are loaded from under-cover stocks with weight and quality tickets.

Packaging & bulk shipping

  • Loose bulk, 500–1000 kg big-bags, or 50 kg PP bags.
  • Fumigation and phytosanitary treatment per destination rules.
